Easter/Scott's Birthday/Conference Fun

Lucy's basket

This Sunday was a perfect combination of family, food, Conference, Easter, food, Scott's birthday and food.

Sunday may have included,

Easter Basket's
Easter basket scavenger hunt for Scott (with chocolate and clues hidden in the eggs)
Honey glazed Aebelskiver's and candy bacon (bacon coated in maple syrup and baked)
Conference
Dinner at my parents with rolls the size of small puppies
Homemade brownie sundae's for dessert (complete with homemade mint Oreo ice cream)

I'd like to thank Scott for helping me make the brownies and ice cream (I was sick and operating on very low energy). I think I should make brownies and ice cream more often. Scott almost cried, he was so happy.

For the record, Scott did a great job on my basket and Oliver's.
It was an Easter basket extravaganza over here.

I had so much fun coming up with the Scott's presents and the clue's for him. Unfortunately, he didn't really get a big screen TV, but he did get a savings account (with a deposit already made), for a big screen TV.

On Monday, I took Scott to Clash of the Titans and Fresco's to finish celebrating.
(Fresco's is where Scott proposed)

All in all, it was a wonderful Easter/birthday/Conference weekend.

Life

Today I was so overwhelmed by happiness that I started to cry in the grocery store.

Just an ordinary day, nothing special.

But, lately I have just felt so utterly happy and that,

is wonderful.

Oliver

While this blog is now primarily dedicated to Lucy and all her glory, I have to give a shout-out to my first baby, Oliver. Who is so woefully neglected these days.

He is the sweetest dog and the bestest friend and I love him very, very much.

Snuggle Bug

When Lucy takes naps with us she likes to snuggle in.

We will put her in the middle of the bed, but she wriggles down until she is right next to you.
I love that she made sure her head and hand are touching Scott.

Ahhh, life is pretty sweet right now.
