{In Between}

I have been squeezing into my regular clothes for about a month now. I might have nearly almost passed out at a wedding due to the new tightness of my favorite wedding skirt (or maybe I just got a little dizzy).

Anyway, I broke down and bought some maternity clothes. They arrived in the mail a couple of days ago, and as Scott said, "They're like grown-up kids clothes." This would be in reference to the elastic waistbands. I think that is slightly better than a younger version of grandma clothes--maybe the only time it is okay to be 30 and wear stretchy band pants.

Either way, they're comfy. A little too comfy, perhaps. I tried them out for the first time for a photoshoot yesterday and my pants were falling down (long shirt, hid important areas).

Moral of the story? Maybe that it is better to wear too tight pants than no pants.

Awe the joys! Put a hair elastic through your button hole on your pants to extend your waist just a bit. Works wonders. Either that or buy one of those belly bands, I have heard they're pretty great!

So happy for you, Lindsey! You're going to be the cutest prego gal on the block. Also- I saw the Utah Bride Blog feature, looks great!

Hope you're well :).

I had one of those stretchy spandex waste band things from Motherhood. They let you wear your pants unzipped and no one knows! Sometimes I still wear it when I have a really big meal. Ok, I lied. But now I'm thinking about it...

I second the elastic through the button hole and around the button. Works wonders. Also, the belly bands are great! I found that the Secret Belly Fit from Motherhood was the best--fit snug enough on the belly that the pants didn't fall down, but it was SO comfortable.
