{Can You See the Baby?}

She/he is waving to us. If the morning sickness and extreme exhaustion wasn't making this all feel a little more real, this certainly did.

Yay! for miracle baby in my tummy.

{It Was a Secret and Lovely Place}

Bruce recently gave Scott and I this book in preparation for our Florida trip. I can't believe I had never read it before. I think I vaguely associated it with an annoying kid and an old, seemingly in memory, orange, movie.

I loved reading it now though.

I was so moved by it. The writing is earthy and real, the characters complex. It broke my heart a little, but then again most of my favorite books do.

{Stream of Conciousness}

This morning I was thinking of Einstein's Bagels. I was thinking it would be smart to buy a dozen and freeze them.
I then thought about how in New York they are supposed to eat Bagel's with Lox and cream cheese.
The reason I know this is because I read it in "Stacy's Big Mistake" (aka The Babysitters Club), when I was 13.
I then wondered if Lox was raw Salmon. If it is I couldn't eat it. Then I decided it didn't sound good anyway.
Then I thought of Mary Ann from the Baby Sitter's club and how she didn't fit-in in New York.
I wondered if I would fit-in in New York.
Then I remembered she dated Logan (who was hot), so she probably didn't care.
And that is where I stopped.
So, Point A-Einsten Bagel = Point B-Mary Ann and Logan

Most of the time when I'm talking to Scott I don't explain how I get to these points and just talk like he understands.

Most of the time he thinks I'm crazy.

{Food}

I used to love you. I craved you and and thought about you often.

Now I kind of hate you.

Maybe one day I will love you again...but today is not that day.

{Sweet Dreams}

Last night I dreamt that Oliver and I were having a conversation. He was explaining to me that he was old enough to be left alone, unsupervised, in the house and that he wouldn't eat the couches.
He then explained there were certain rooms he didn't like to go into anyway, because there is mold underneath the floor boards and the rooms stink. This made me concerned, so I called a mold guy to check it out.
Oliver was right! We had mold underneath all of our wood floors.
I remember thinking how nice it was that Oliver and I can now talk and he can explain things to me, like being responsible and moldly rooms.

{Quirky}

Lately Scott has been laughing at me as we sit across from each other and work on our laptops.

Apparently I smile when I work on my computer (blog, type emails, etc). He thinks this is hilarious.
