So far I haven't gotten any stretch marks from pregnancy. I feel pretty lucky, but every time I go to the Dr. they warn me they can show up overnight. I haven't been too concerned about it, but the other night (Scott says it was 3 AM), I felt the baby move, felt my stomach and AHHHH! I had dozens of stretch marks going all down my tummy. They were huge. I woke Scott up and our conversation went like this,
Me: Scott, wake, up, wake up, wake up!
Scott: mumble, mumble
Me: Seriously, wake up and feel my tummy.
Scott: What?
Me: I have stretch marks now. I should have used the tummy creme.
Scott: (After feeling tummy) Oh, I'm sorry buddy.
Me: Turn on the lights and look at them.
Scott: Are you serious?
Me: Yes, I'm serious and are you seriously asking a pregnant lady if she is serious?
Scott: Fine.
(Turns on light and looks at them.)
Scott: Linds, those are the wrinkles on your skin from the sheets.
Me: Oh. Good night.
Scott: Big sigh.

So a conversation Bob and I would have. Bob says I get night terrors and will wake up screaming, and then go right back to bed, and he is left wide awake.
Too funny! I'm glad you don't have the stretch marks.
Very lucky! I am glad you are blessed with stretchy skin. :)
Fun conversation. I don't think we should be held responsible for conversations that occur when we are very tired and bordering asleep as well as the ones when we are not fully awake yet.
Can't wait to meet Baby L!
Oh, I have myself a fine set!
Ha! Sounds like you are probably in the clear...good luck with the next couple of weeks!
I am laughing so hard right now! That is hilarious!
Hahahaha....that is hilarious!!! Poor Scott. But lucky you! I don't know how I got lucky enough not to get stretch marks, but I guess it's not the end of the world if it happens. You're kind of giving up your body for the baby....like I found out recently when the "deflated boobies after nursing" happened. :) Don't worry, the kiddos make it all worth it.
