{Birdies}

Taryn is making me this darling bird mobile for baby. How cute is that? In fact, if you go on her blog you can see the real deal.

The room remodels are so close to being done. The painting is done, the closets are up (almost) and the shutters are all in. Now it is just touch-ups, clean-ups, hardware, a few molding pieces, finishing off some wood floors, light covers and outlet covers. It sounds like a lot, but it really isn't.
At the last minute we (I) decided to add crown molding and recessed lighting in the baby's room.
Thanks Dad and Chris for helping us out.

Also, I ended up going with the Dwell Dragonfly baby bedding. So, the colors are buttercream, chocolate and dusty pink. I'm pretty happy with it. At the last minute I was wishing I had done a peach and red combo, but someone show me where I can buy peach and red baby bedding. The idea's in my head don't exist in reality and I'm not handy enough to create them!

By the way, I'm 36 weeks and everything is going along smoothly. No contractions so far, which is good because I have way too much to do still. I think by the end of next week I will feel ready. We took a birthing class and I started to think maybe the baby can stay inside forever.

I'm glad to hear you are finally nesting a bit. I can't wait to see the nursery when it's finished. And this bird mobile is darling. I also love the bedding.

After your shower, I can tell that your babe is going to be one stylish chicky. (Did you notice the unintended overall bird theme of this comment?)

So glad all is going well. Nesting looks fun (but busy!). Enjoy it! Did you decide on a baby name yet?

Little girls rock and the preparation for them is so fun. Hang in there, sister. You are so close!

I am loving the birds. I totally just commented on Taryn's blog that she makes me feel like the least crafty person ever! Baby L is going to have some darling birdies watching over her from your darling sister.

I also like the bedding a lot! Peach & red would be adorable too.... Sorry you couldn't find it. Maybe it will become the new "brown and pink" for your next girl. It seems like everything you think about turns into a HUGE success so ability to make your own bedding may not even be needed!
