{Favorite Christmas Books}

How The Grinch Stole Christmas! By Dr. Seuss

I was reading Lizzie's post on some of her favorite Christmas stories and it made me think of some of my favorite ones as well. So, in no particular order here are some that Scott and I love to read every year. I like finding new ones, so I was wondering what some of your favorites are?

Christmas Day in the Morning, by Pearl S. Buck

Letters from Father Christmas, by J.R.R. Tolkien

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, By Barbara Robinson

A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens

A Christmas Memory, by Truman Capote

The Gift of the Magi, By O. Henry

The Night Before Christmas, By Clement Clarke Moore

The Polar Express, By Chris Van Allsberg

I was going to say the Polar Express. So I really don't have any other suggestions. There is something about reading kids books, that makes me remember how much fun it was back then and puts me in the Christmas mood.

I love The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey!!! You have to read that one if you haven't... Also, Why Christmas Trees Aren't Perfect is a super good one!

Growing up my dad's family gave us a different story every year and an ornament that went with it. I love Christmas books!!!

I forgot to say that Rylee and I as HUGE Tolkien fans LOVE Letters from Father Christmas. Last year I got it for Rylee and the version is really great. Each page has an envelope that you open and pull out the letter in his handwriting and with his illustrations and everything.

It is magical!!!

Happy books & happy Christmas. I loved looking at your books & I think I'll go get a few from the library! I grew up watching The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, but I've never read it - I should!
